The Madagasikara Voakajy (MV) team has adopted a new approach to environmental education for students in the village of Avolo, Beparasy Commune, Moramanga District. Participants in this activity are students from the community primary school, ranging from 10th to 7th grade.
They were taken outside of school to visit the MV nursery in Avolo. Additionally, a reforestation project within the community school grounds in Avolo marked the day. Twenty-nine seedlings from our nursery were planted by these students as well as their teachers.
This new method aims to put into practice the theories conveyed to students regarding environmental education. It also aims to familiarize children with nature.
This environmental protection mission aligns with MV's objectives. This project began on November 19, 2023, with the aim of educating young environmental leaders. It was implemented through a partnership with the Conservation Leadership Program.
