The main target of MV in Menabe is the conservation of Grandidier’s baobab population by local communities with their own willing. To attain this, we make feel the community the importance of the species within their wellbeing.
In one hand, we encourage the community in the knowledge and transformation of fruit into powder or jam in order to give add value of the baobab fruit product. Local community was given training throughout the transformation process and support the selling process of the product. In the other hand, we encourage restoration of the baobab population by planting seedling each year to prevent low natural regeneration and make this as an annual routine for the communities.
